Jackett Completes First Summer Signing

Kenny Jackett has completed his first summer signing as he secured the services of Tommy Rowe who was out of contract at Peterborough United which means that Wolverhampton managed to add him into the squad on a free transfer as the newly promoted Championship League club made their move faster than Leeds United and Blackburn who were some of the other clubs interested in signing the 25 years old player.

Tommy Rowe expressed his delight about being transferred to his new club Wolverhampton Wanderers as he talked during a press conference and said:

"I am delighted to have joined Wolves as soon as I heard the club was interested I was very keen. Everything about Wolves really appeals to me. The fact it's a big club, the fans, how well they did last season, it's an exciting prospect for me and exciting to be looking forward to the future and all the possibilities. And I am looking forward to playing in the Championship again. After being there before and tasting what it was like I always wanted to get back there."
Rowe penned a 2 year long contract with Wolverhampton but he isn’t the only player that Kenny Jackett wants to add to his squad during this summer transfer window as Harry Maguire remains being a top target.

Sheffield United has already rejected 2 offers from the Wolves as they have already launched bids in the region of €1.5 million for the 21 year old English defender but the side of Kenny Jackett has increased their offer to €2 million.

Richard Stearman has lured the attention of clubs around Europe as he formed a superb partnership with Danny Batth in the defence of Wolverhampton but even with all the interest that Stearman has attracted, he is expected to sign a new contract with the team of Kenny Jackett and remain with the club at least for another season.
